10 ways to get the best of yoga
14-07-2018- Cleaniness and Food. The bladder should always be emptied and evacuated. If the person couldn't evacuate the bowels somehow, then start with Sirsasana and Sarvangasana, Topsy -Turvy poses, help bowel movement. Never go for advanced asanas without evacuating bowels.
- Right Mental Atitude. Remember Yoga is more than just physical fitness or mere achieving new flexibilities. Yoga is to assist you in your spiritual advancement.
- Bath. Take a shower both before and after Yoga. Taking bath before Yoga helps You open your body more better
- Right Time for Food. Yoga should be performed only after 4 hours after having food. You can have food half an hour after completing the yoga.
- Best Time. The time of fusion of darkness and light is considered best for yoga. Though for a beginner, evening is preferred to morning time, for body is stiffer in morning.
- Body Talk. Avoid loud music, watching TV or checking your phone while performing yoga. Yoga demands all of your attention. Try to feel your muscles and your breath while perfoming yoga.
- Sequence of Yoga. Surveys have found that a specific seqeunce of performing yoga is better to chanalise all energy in one flow. It is more like going with the flowing of chakra in body. Try to Perform Yoga in following sequence: a)dynamic and standing asanas; b) lying and static asanas; c) shavasana
- Don't Unduly Strain your Muscles. Remember that yoga is more about harmony, thus it shouldn't come to a point, that after performing one asana, you are taking a long break to relax your breath.
- Keep an Eye on Your Postures Throughout the Day. Yoga is about awareness. Yoga is not a part of your day, its the very way of living your day.
- Breathing awareness. In all the asanas breathing should be done thought the nostrels only and not throught the mouth.
